President Donald Trump tried to focus on combating inflation during a speech while traveling in Pennsylvania. Yet the issue was quickly dropped in favor of complaining about immigration.

This news comes after Vice President JD Vance literally said that immigration is destroying the American Dream.

JD Vance: Mass Immigration Is Ruining The American Dream

“Why is it we only take people from s—-hole countries, right?” Trump said onstage. “Why can’t we have some people from Norway, Sweden, just a few?” Trump said he objected to taking immigrants from “hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.” He added for emphasis that those places “are a disaster, right? Filthy, dirty, disgusting, ridden with crime.”

Trump regularly bashes immigrants from other countries he deems to be “lower” in class to the U.S. He recently called Somalis “garbage.”

Trump could have made attempts to calm fears of inflation that is pushing the cost of living sky high and threatening the well-being of everyone in the U.S., especially because the public at large is beginning to blame republicans and the current administration for the economic problems, according to a report by NPR.  The White House has also been trying to convince the public that the economy will improve next year, as they see their savings evaporate.

“I have no higher priority than making America affordable again,” Trump said. “They caused the high prices, and we’re bringing them down.”

While the administration blames and focuses on immigration as the issue, the real pain is in people’s wallets, and it is becoming noticeable.

“We’re all broke. It doesn’t matter whether you support Republicans or support Democrats,” Nick Riley said to NPR. “We’re all broke, and we’re all feeling it.”

Since most of those living in the U.S. have experienced the economic distress swirling around, it’s become a problem for Trump to attempt to address it. However, he seems to keep falling back into old habits of blaming those who migrated to the U.S. for issues the ruling class obviously caused.
