United States ruler Donald Trump has said that mainstream media news channels ABC and NBC should have their broadcasting licenses revoked. He claims that they should be punished for their “unfair coverage of Republicans.”

In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump blasted ABC and NBC as “two of the absolute worst and most biased networks.” He claims that revoking their broadcasting licenses, which could be seen as censorship, will help keep the networks in line. “They should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime!” he wrote. He has previously labeled both networks “political pawns” of the Democrats.

Back in July, Trump filed a lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal’s parent company, Dow Jones, and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, over a report claiming he had sent a birthday letter to financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the early 2000s.

In June, ABC dismissed veteran correspondent Terry Moran after he referred to senior Trump aide Stephen Miller as a “world-class hater.” In 2024, the network agreed to pay $15 million to Trump’s presidential library to settle a defamation lawsuit over inaccurate comments about his sexual assault and defamation trial involving columnist E. Jean Carroll.

Last month, Paramount, the parent company of CBS News, agreed to pay $16 million as part of another settlement. Trump alleged the company deceptively edited a 2024 interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris, who at the time was running against him in the presidential election. –RT

Trump: Only “Stupid People” Should Expect To See Epstein’s Client List

One can be upset at the biases reported, but to go so far as to say their broadcasting licences should be revoked is no better than democrats who shut down and blacklisted conservative or libertarian websites during the Obama era to keep information at a standstill. People should have choices in what they read, watch, and where they get their information. When the ruling class controls information (even fake, false, or straight-up lies) in any way, we are on a slippery slope to tyranny.

If you disagreed with the censorship that happened at the hands of Google to support the left, but aren’t OK with this kind of censorship, you may be a hypocrite. If you disagree, please leave a comment explaining why there’s a discrepancy in your morals.
