United States ruler Donald Trump claims that Iran bombed its own school during the U.S. strike on Minab. This claim goes against investigative reports that the U.S. ruling class was likely responsible for leveling the school.

The strike on an Iranian school that killed 175 people, most of them children, and now Trump is claiming it was an Iranian missile that hit the school.

According to a report by RT, investigations by the Associated Press, CNN, the New York Times, and the Washington Post concluded that the U.S. was the likely culprit that destroyed a girls’ elementary school in the southern Iranian city of Minab during a February 28th bombardment of nearby Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sites. The journalists based their findings on satellite imagery and other visual evidence available.

On Thursday, Reuters cited two US officials as saying that American military investigators believe US forces were likely responsible for the strike on the school in Minab. The outlet noted that no final conclusions have been reached, as the investigation is ongoing. –RT

When a reporter asked U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegset if Iran hit the school, Hegseth replied, “Is that true … it was Iran that did that? We’re investigating it.” He added that “the only side that targets civilians is Iran.”

Trump added his own comments, saying, “We think it was done by Iran, because they’re very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions. They have no accuracy whatsoever.”

The United Nations has condemned the attack as “a grave assault on children, on education, and on the future of an entire community,” stressing that “civilians must never be treated as collateral.”

The destruction of the school remains the deadliest single strike in the US‑Israeli war on Iran that was launched on February 28. –RT
