Strict New Safety Rules Enforced at Jeep Weekend 2025
Several new regulations were rolled out this year to minimize chaos. These include:
- No parking or trailer unloading on the beach
- Ban on golf carts, ATVs, and dirt bikes on the sand
- No glass containers, bonfires, or mass gatherings
- Mandatory leashes for pets
- A strict 15 mph speed limit
- Stay off sand dunes
Public safety zones were also established, where standing, stopping, or parking were prohibited. These zones were active from Friday, May 16 at 6 a.m. through Monday, May 19 at midnight.
Despite these new guidelines, Friday night saw heavy traffic with cars lined up to enter the event, suggesting attendance remained high. However, the record number of arrests and the seizure of 30 firearms indicate that not all attendees followed the rules.
