The Brief:

A shooting near an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in three deaths and two injuries on Saturday. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene, and survivors were transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center for emergency care.

Authorities lifted a shelter-in-place order after determining there was no ongoing threat to the community. Major transit routes, including the Perrine Bridge, remain closed for the investigation, though police are not searching for a suspect. Residents are advised to avoid the area and the hospital campus.

This is a developing story.

TWIN FALLS, ID — A bustling Saturday afternoon near one of Twin Falls’ busiest commercial corridors transformed into a major crime scene after gunfire erupted near the local In-N-Out Burger establishment.

Emergency communications dispatched multi-agency responses from local, county, and state law enforcement units to secure the perimeter and assist with casualty extraction.

Casualties and Hospital Operations

A spokesperson for the Twin Falls Police Department confirmed to media outlets that three individuals were pronounced dead and two others suffered injuries as a result of the shooting.

Authorities have not yet publicly clarified whether any of the deceased or injured individuals include the shooter.

The two wounded survivors were transported directly to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center for emergency medical management. Following the influx of patients, hospital officials requested that residents avoid the St. Luke’s Magic Valley campus unless experiencing a medical emergency, though the Emergency Department remains open to critical cases.

Road Closures and Shelter-in-Place

In the immediate aftermath of the gunfire, local officials issued a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents and visitors while tactical units swept the commercial district.

That order has since been officially lifted, and police confirmed there is currently no active search for a suspect, indicating the immediate threat to the surrounding community has been neutralized or contained.

However, major transit routes surrounding the incident remain completely closed to traffic. Twin Falls Police are instructing all motorists to seek alternate routes and stay clear of the active investigative zone while detectives and crime scene technicians process the area.

This is a developing story.
