United States ruling class senator and infamous war hawk, Lindsey Graham, has said that God will punish Americans if war funding is removed from Israel. Graham’s comments come shortly after Israel announced a plan to occupy Gaza City, one of the few areas of the Palestinian enclave that the Israeli military does not control.
“If America pulls the plug on Israel, God will pull the plug on us,” Graham said.
Graham’s divine retribution threat was spoken at the 58th annual Silver Elephant Gala, a major party fundraiser held in South Carolina over the weekend. “Israel is our friend. They are the most reliable friend we have in the Middle East. They are a democracy, surrounded by people who would cut their throats if they could,” Graham claimed. He added that weakening support for Israel would result in divine punishment for the U.S.

Graham’s comments have been increasingly inflammatory as he consistently promotes war. He seems especially prone to accepting Israel’s war mongering and wants Americans to support mass killings and genocide. He recently claimed that Israel is going to destroy Gaza in the way the U.S. took out Tokyo and Berlin in the previous world war.
Graham, a strong longtime backer of Israel, had previously called for a full occupation of Gaza, insisting that there was no other resolution to the hostilities to satisfy West Jerusalem. U.S. President Donald Trump has also stated that the ruling class could “seize” Gaza. The comments were met with Israel’s full support. And, more horrifically, once Trump made the comments, he doubled down on them.
Luckily, these threats of war have proven to be lies, and Trump really has no intention of using military force to take Greenland, Panama, or Gaza.

Graham has long insisted that there was no peaceful way to end this war, and recommends Israel and the U.S. completely destroy Gaza in order to eliminate the terrorist group, Hamas.
