President Donald Trump ordered strikes on several of Iran’s nuclear sites. The United States president has ordered a “very successful attack” on the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan facilities.

Washington carried out a series of large-scale strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities early on Sunday. The US ruler later delivered a televised address from the White House, claiming that the Iranian nuclear sites have been “completely and totally obliterated.” Trump added that Tehran should avoid any kind of retaliation, saying that it “must now make peace,” otherwise, “future attacks would be far greater.”

The strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites marked the first-ever combat use of the US GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a 30,000-pound “bunker-buster” bomb, which is deployed by B‑2 Spirit stealth bomber, the New York Times has reported. Submarine-launched Tomahawk missiles were also used to target the Islamic Republic.

Now that the U.S. has involved itself militarily by attacking Iran, a large step toward World War III has been taken. Iran is unlikely to let these attacks go without retaliation in spite of Trump’s warning, and the rulers all know this.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has condemned “the brutal US military aggression against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities,” calling it an “unprecedented” violation of the UN Charter and international law.

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that the attacks were “outrageous” and would have “everlasting consequences,” emphasizing that Iran reserved all options to defend itself. Tehran “considers it its right to resist with all its might against U.S. military aggression,” which was carried out “with the criminal complicity” of Israel, the ministry said in a statement. “The war-mongering and law-breaking US government [is] responsible for the extremely dangerous effects and consequences of this great crime,” it stressed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been urging the U.S. to provide military assistance to his country since the initial attack by Israel on Iran on June 13, praised Trump for his “bold decision” to take part in the bombing campaign, according to a report by RT.

What are your thoughts? Is this the beginning of World War 3? Will Iran retaliate? Are we going to experience a nuclear war? Your opinion matters! Share with us in the comments and let’s start a discussion!
